I agree. Best ActionScript book I’ve read (and I’ve read a lot of them). Since you mention migration, I also recommend the last two sections of this The ActionScript 3 Quick Reference Guide (O’Reilly), which were also written by Shupe. One section is a “where did it go” section from AS2 to AS3, and is only as substantial as the size of the book would allow. The other section is a particle example in AS2 and AS3. He even added things that you wouldn’t ordinarily see (like a component next to a custom button) just to add more migration issues for you to understand. Top notch.
